Every year, in preparation for the fall and winter months, Golf Burnaby goes through an extensive maintenance program to keep all our golf courses the driest in the lower mainland. With golfers in mind, Golf Burnaby’s putting green maintenance programs occur in early October to ensure the best playing conditions through all of September (one of the best golfing months of the year).
Putting greens are aerified to ensure the turfgrass plant has plenty of oxygen.
Greens are topdressed, brushed, and rolled to ensure they remain smooth all season long.
Because of our extensive fairway drainage, the Golf Maintenance Department is also able to delay fairway sanding and aeration until the end of October to ensure great golfing conditions through the off season as well.
