Fall and Winter Golf Course Conditioning Preparation

Every year, in preparation for the fall and winter months, Golf Burnaby goes through an extensive maintenance program to keep all our golf courses the driest in the lower mainland. With golfers in mind, Golf Burnaby’s putting green maintenance programs occur in early October to ensure the best playing conditions through all of September (one of the best golfing months of the year).

How we keep our conditions dry

In preparation for weather changes, we have deep tined and top dressed all of the fairways at Riverway and Burnaby Mountain with over 1500 tones of sand. In an effort to improve survivability in the expected temperature changes, we over-seeded the fairways with a blend of grasses.
