Golf Burnaby student, Sophie Fuerbringer, had luck on her side on Wednesday. She was paired with Brooke Henderson during the Pro Am and got some very helpful tips from the Canadian Golfer.

“Pretty brilliant for a mom to be taking a photo of her girl at the tee and superstar Brooke Henderson catches you and gives you the thumbs up. Brooke was talented and delightful, nice to see good character on and off the course.” ~Mrs. Fuerbringer~

Brooke Henderson was the low Canadian in the field, shooting a -5 (67) on Sunday. She finished the tournament at -4 tied for 23rd.

Salimah and Mo competed against each other in college (Pac 10). Salimah Mussani, represented Stanford and Mo Martin represented UCLA. A friendship was born and they became travelling companions on the LPGA Futures Tour.

While travelling together the 2 of them would take on the Men in match play. 2, five foot nothing ladies would beat up on the Men. “They never saw us coming. Mo and I made a lot of money off the Men together back in those days” ~Salimah Mussani~
