After a good drive, be sure you have enough club to get over the creek that runs across the fairway at 100 yards from the green. There is no shame in laying up short of the creek on your second shot. Take more club for your approach shot if the flag is on the right half of the green.

Long hitters can reach this par 5 with two good shots. Others might choose to lay-up short of the second set of fairway bunkers to leave themselves a short-iron third shot. The green slopes from back left to front right, so don’t be surprised when your birdie putt wants to wander to the right.

Get too aggressive and you’ll pay the price! Aim your tee shot at the left fairway bunker and try to finish at the 150 marker. Take plenty of club hitting to the green — the water is closer to the fringe than it appears.

No room for error. The prudent play is to the 150 marker as the fairway narrows rapidly after that, but the risky play can be rewarded with a shorter approach shot. This very deep green can play different depending on pin placement.

Short, but tricky. Check the flag before choosing a club as the trees on your left will hide the wind that normally blows at you from the left. The green angles back from left to right, so pin placement on the right half of the green requires a full club more than the one on the left.

A good drive will set you up for another chance at a birdie. Avoid the fairway bunkers and you will have an easy shot to a relatively unprotected green. The green has three sections, front-right, back-right and left. Hitting to the correct section will make your birdie putt much easier.

This green may look unprotected since there are no bunkers, but the forest looms only a few yards from the fringe. The green slopes away from you on the back third so be careful when you hit to back pins.

Start your drive down the left side to avoid the rough that cuts into the fairway on the right. A good iron shot is required to avoid the creek and all of the greenside bunkers.
