OUR COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Over the past 10 years, Golf Burnaby has worked hard in its mission to expose golf to the children in Burnaby as part of the school's physical education program. In conjunction with the Burnaby School Board, we have introduced golf to students in Grades 5 and 10.
My coach Alex always makes lessons fun and interesting. Burnaby Mountain is a good facility with lots of targets on the range and many places to practice your short game. The pros and staff are friendly, nice and helpful.
As a previous 7 handicap golfer, arthritis in my hips was seriously affecting my golf game and I was forced to either quit or find some type of solution. I talked to the golf professionals at Riverway about my problem and I set-up a series of three private lessons. Using his experience & knowledge, Sean Spottiswood soon had me swinging in a way which greatly lowered the amount of pressure on my hips. Without the pain, playing and practicing soon became fun again and I will be taking more lessons this year. Thanks Golf Burnaby and Sean for what you have helped me regain - the love of the playing golf!
