  • Greg McClure

    Head Professional, Burnaby Mountain

    A member of PGA of Canada since 1993, Greg joined the Golf Burnaby team in 2003 and assumed the role of Burnaby Mountain’s Head Professional in 2014. Greg is not only very knowledgeable, his enthusiasm for the game and sense of humour make him favourite among customers and staff. He's also Burnaby Mountain’s only “lefty." 

  • Brian Crowe

    Brian began playing golf at the age of 15 and quickly developed a talent and passion for the game. After graduating from the University of Ottawa he travelled extensively working various jobs in his field of commerce. In 1997 Brian taught English in Pohang, South Korea—an experience that uncovered a strong desire to teach.

    Brian's love of travel, golf and teaching inspired him to turn professional in 1998. He joined the Burnaby Mountain team in 2008 where he teaches students from beginner to advanced, instilling sound fundamentals in a fun environment. To reach Brian, email [email protected]
     

  • Brad Ewart

    Brad Ewart, Class A PGA of Canada member, began teaching golf in 1988 and has been a professional and a student of the game ever since. As a professional golfer Ewart played two seasons (1990 - 1991) on the Asian Golf Circuit and has played 492 courses in 23 countries around the world. Ewart is also a golf journalist working in print, radio, and television. Ewart served as Media Chairman (1995-1999) for the PGA TOUR’S Air Canada Championship. For eight seasons Ewart was Tournament Director for Canadian Junior Golf Association and is currently in the same role for the Grizzly Golf Tour. Ewart has coached numerous junior, college, amateur and professional golfers who have gone on to win collegiate, provincial, and national titles. For the past 25 years Ewart, a Golf Trick Shot Artist, has entertained thousands of golfers around the world with his ‘entertainment on the links’ routine.

  • Alex Ludeman

    With certifications in Golf 2, Power 2 and Junior 2 through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), as well as a 3D motion certification through Sportsbox 3D Golf, Alex has developed an innovative approach to helping players build a powerful and efficient golf swing. By looking at the whole athlete, Alex finds the shortest route to improving an athlete's game and lowering scores. If you're interested in how your range of motion, course management, practice habits, golf fitness, playing mindset, club fitting, nutrition and hydration can influence your game, Alex is sure to provide an enjoyable and informative experience.   • Mark Ludeman

    With over 40 years of teaching and playing experience, Mark has a strong passion for teaching and coaching. A past recipient of the BCPGA Teacher of the Year award, Mark's expertise, skill and easy manner have made him an invaluable member of the Burnaby Golf team. Mark's clientele ranges from novice players to touring professionals, and includes juniors, seniors and everyone in between. Mark has the passion and ability to help anyone—from those wanting to learn the basics to advanced players requiring the precision coaching necessary to become an expert!

  • Steve Min

    Steve graduated with a degree in associated golf management from the San Diego Golf Academy and is dedicated to bringing his students’ games to the next level. He believes the key to developing a consistent swing is understanding a person’s body type and physical limitations, while focusing on increasing strength and flexibility. 

  • Don Seol

    As an instructor and competitive player, Don brings both perspectives to his teaching and understands how best to coach you. Not only will he improve your swing mechanics, he'll help you shoot lower scores. Growing up, Don won several junior tournaments and later competed in pro tournaments in Canada and Korea. He has a degree in psychology and economics from UBC, where he played on the varsity team. Don has worked with some of the game's best coaches and has been teaching for the last 10 years.   • Sean Spottiswood

    Head Professional, Riverway

    A member of the PGA of Canada since 1992, Sean is a dedicated and passionate student of the game, earning him a Level Four Teaching Certification. He has won a PGA of Canada Tournament event and had numerous top 10 finishes. Sean believes there is nothing more rewarding than helping people enjoy and improve their own game.

  • Dahman Boudraa

    Dahman has been a member of PGA of Canada since 1993 and has dedicated his career to growing the game of golf at all levels. He has earned his Level Four Teaching Certification and attended various teaching conferences all over North America. Dahman’s goal is to have his students enjoy the game while continuously monitoring and encouraging their progress. He takes great pleasure in teaching golfers of all ages and abilities.

  • Michael Caan

    Michael started golfing in 2011 as a complete beginner and just one year later he was breaking 70, shooting 67 in one tournament. In 2014, he walked on to Canada’s only NCAA school, Simon Fraser University golf team. He turned professional in 2017, only 6 years after first picking up a club. Michael spends every day practicing as he still aspires to play on the PGA Tour. He is best known for shooting a 59 on May 14, 2021, at Meadow Gardens Golf Club. Michael understands how to improve rapidly but cautions his students that improvement requires a lot of dedication and purposeful practice.

  • Tae-sung Kim

    Tae-sung joined the PGA of Canada in 2004 after earning a bachelors degree in psychology from SFU. He obtained a Class “A” Professional designation in 2008 and has worked in both public and private clubs including Quilchena Golf and Country Club (2004-2005) and Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club (2006-2011). He left the golf industry in 2011 to work in the public sector and has been a stay-at-home parent since 2018. During his time away from the game, Tae-sung continued to study and learn about the golf swing. He developed a teaching method influenced by Percy Boomer, Manuel de la Torre, George Knudson, and Dave Pelz. Tae-sung is fluent in English and Korean and is also a TCCP Level 4 Instructor. At Riverway he looks forward to teaching players of all ages and abilities.

  • Dean Kuntz

    Dean Kuntz has been a member of PGA of Canada since 1989 and has been connecting with and understanding the needs of golfers in the Lower Mainland for over 25 years.  Although golf is a complex game, Dean likes to keep things simple and ensure students of all skill levels always learn something new and improve their game. He teaches with purpose, allowing students to comprehend the dynamics of the golf swing. Dean keeps pace with advanced and emerging golf technologies, as well as current teaching styles and trends, validating swing technique and providing continuous learning for his students.

  • Caine Lacusta

    Caine Lacusta is a seasoned PGA of Canada Golf Professional with a passion for enhancing the golfing experience for players of all levels. With over 15 years of dedicated service in the golf industry, Caine has honed his skills in both coaching and management. Caine's philosophy is rooted in a personalized approach, tailoring instruction to suit individual player's abilities and aspirations. He combines a deep understanding of swing mechanics with a keen eye for ensuring his students improve their mechanics and technique.

    As a competitor, Caine boasts an impressive record in regional and national tournaments, showcasing his expertise in navigating the intricacies of the golf course. His commitment to professional development is evident through his ongoing pursuit of the latest teaching methodologies and cutting-edge equipment knowledge.

  • Vince Liu

    After a successful career as a Corporate Trainer with McDonalds’ International and Johnson & Johnson, Vince joined the Golf Burnaby team in 2001. He started working in the Burnaby Mountain Pro Shop and later became a PGA of Canada professional. As one of very few Chinese golf professionals at the time, the China Golf Association offered him the position of Head Coach for their National Men's Golf Team in 2011. Among the players he coached, 2 are now enjoying great success—Li HaoTung, a European Tour winner and Zhang XinJun, a 2018 PGA Tour member.

    劉教練曾經擔任麥當勞與嬌生公司的人力資源總監和資深訓練師,對陪訓教學有多年獨到經驗。2001年加入本拿比球場服務後,又參與加拿大青少年巡迴賽的籌備與擔任卑詩省賽事總監的機會,因而能夠將過去教學心得重新用在高爾夫教學。
    劉教練的努力得到中國高爾夫協會的肯定,於2011年特邀擔任為奧林匹克運動會男子國家隊總教練。曾經指導過當時國內眾多頂尖好手。同時帶隊參與歐巡賽,澳洲公開賽等國內外賽事。協助張新軍在2011年上海匯豐世錦賽並列13名,在2018年成為美巡賽正式會員。也曾經輔導當時剛轉職業的李昊桐,為他日後贏得歐巡賽冠軍打下基礎。

  • Salimah Mussani

    Salimah has enjoyed some big successes in golf—including 2 PGA of BC Championships, a major on the LPGA-Symetra Tour, and as a competitor in the US Women's Open. Salimah graduated from Stanford University and returned to coach the Women’s golf team. Today, in addition to teaching at Riverway, she is also head coach of Team Canada's women's elite amateurs and young professionals. Learn more about Salimah's exciting accomplishments.

  • Mike Vanderwolf

    Mike joined the PGA of Canada in 1990 and has served in a variety of roles in his lengthy career. Most notably Mike had served as Director of Instruction at the McCleery Golf Academy in Vancouver since its inception in 1999 through 2021. He serves as Lead Coach Developer on the PGA of Canada’s team of National Facilitators playing a critical role in the development of fellow instructors and coaches across Canada.

     Hailing from Victoria BC, Mike started playing golf as a teenager and grew to love the competitive opportunities that tournament play provided, playing events throughout the Pacific Northwest. As a Professional, Mike has trained extensively to provide quality learning experiences for all his students, from beginners to Tour Professional. Mike proudly shares his vast experience and education with all interested in learning and improving their golf.

     Mike has been the recipient of a number of provincial and national awards including the 2000 PGA of BC Teacher of the Year. As a leader in the development of effective programming and student focused planning Mike has enjoyed being a part of the growth of thousands of golfers and looks forward to meeting you and helping you realize all the game has to offer.

  • Jodi Reimer

    Jodi has won multiple Junior Club Championships and placed in the top 10 at the Under 19 Women’s National Championship. She has been successful in several BMO Canadian Women’s Tour events and other local professional tournaments. She is a creative, energetic teacher who looks forward to helping golfers achieve all their goals.
